HxH starts a new arc and goes on a hiatus, as I predicted.

At least it should put the speculation of it ending anytime soon, to rest. Plus, it doesn't start the hiatus on a huge cliffhanger like last time.

In retrospect I believe chapter 339 was intended as an ending for the anime adaptation, should it manage to remain in production long enough to adapt it.

I don't know why Kabuto still exists in the manga, he is completely boring and uninteresting and seems to have nothing to do with anything in the plot. If they wanted to keep Orochimaru around I would accept his miraculous revival over having that douche bag Kabuto being a main villain.

Orochimaru was more compelling, and had the creep factor as well, and the connection to Sasuke. Sasuke was like "Orochimaru?! Oh.. just you." Kabuto has never really demonstrated any skill besides being absurdly evil scientist but in a ninja way, and that doesn't necessarily mean he's good in a fight.

that last chapter of Naruto felt like more of a filler than anything, more than a couple pages of space filling banter

I think that means every animal summon could potentially have one. The Snail seems a given since it's supposedly equal to the Frog and the Snake.

Then again the one snail summon we know is female and was always summoned by a woman, and the Naruto universe was always pretty sexist power-wise.


In the manga, she last appeared in a chapter released in February 2008. It's all kinds of silly to bring her back now, when for more than 4 years, Kubo didn't even bother to explain what happened to her after Nnoitra died.

It's pretty amusing.

Well, I'm speaking for myself, back in 2008 I was interested to know if she retained parts of her memory of being an Espada(Nnoitra ko'd her pretty much immediately after she transformed), or if she could turn back into an adult again or if it was a one time thing.

Even one panel showing her playing with the hollows would've answered that.

It's like the whole Grimmjow thing. Did they heal him back to health? If they did wouldn't he attack them immediately? If they didn't, wouldn't he die when Ichigo went out of his way to not be responsible for his death?

So did the translations start sucking really bad when Mangastream was taken down or what? All that I find now is pretty bad.

Translations for a single series or translations in general? Are you possibly referring to cleaning or type-setting, which are usually the real issue(s) with scanlators?
