So arc is over and neither Jinbe nor Shirahoshi really joined the Strawhats. I know Jinbe promised to join "one day", but I don't think it'll come to pass. My prediction is Big Mom destroys Fishman Island and either kills or captures Jinbe, Strawhats return there, with Shirahoshi joining after that or after the fight with Big Mom.

I knew Ging let himself get hit on purpose.

And I doubt it'll be that easy, Pariston has yet to make his speech, I'm sure he has some back-up plan. What Gon does after getting healed might be deciding, since Leorio got a lot of sympathy during voting, due to his loyality for Gon.

The reason is obviously, what I have been saying a few months ago already, that Bleach is dropping in Shounen Jump popularity polls, it was placed number 15th when the latest chapter came out. That's not cancellation territory mind you(that would be places 24-30), but for a series that used to place numbers 2-4, that's a pretty clear indication the series' main popularity is over and won't return.

With that said, Kubo had said before that after the Fullbring arc, which he described as a "shortl" arc, there'd be just one more "big" one, so this isn't exactly new news, it's just that now it's confirmed officially by Jump.

Also, keep in mind, that the "Arrancar Arc", from Shinji's first appearence till Aizen's defeat (according to Jump it's one arc, I don't agree, but whatever), took 5 years to complete. So I'd still expect 2 years of serialization or so, out of the final arc.

Naruto might still end first, Naturo defeats Tobi, the 5 Kage defeat Madara, Itachi defeats Kabuto and Naruto and Sasuke clear up their homosexual tension, and we are done basically.

Nah.

1) Pariston has some plans for the chimera cocoons.
2) Illumi is after Alluka's powers.
3) Kurapica is gone, likely hunting for the Ryodan.
4) Welfin & co are searching for Gyro in Meteor City, where the Ryodan live.
5) Gyro is one fucked up dude, with nasty shit planned.

You can't solve all of that in 1 arc, you can combine some of that into one arc, but not all of it.

The way Gyro has been hyped up by Togashi, there's no way his plot won't get a long and major arc. The only way HxH ends any time soon, is if Togashi suffers depression like when writing YYH. He gets paid much better and has a happy family life nowadays, plus he can go on a hiatus whenever he wants, so it's unlikely.

So Gon finally found Ging, so what? The Chimera Ant Arc, was long and plot heavy, and had nothing to do with the search for Ging.

Last chapter was awesome by the way, I'm really enjoying Pariston as a character.

I don't see why not. Generally all the Tailed Beasts were represented in negative ways. If Kurama can be good-natured, it can't be that far-fetched.

I'm still not seeing HxH being dragged out a whole lot longer now.

I wonder how Leorios emission is different from that boxer on Greed Island. An explanation of his exact ability would be cool
