In regards to Fairy Tail...

Am I the only one who thinks this whole arc wouldn't be much different if Mavis wasn't there? Her presence is just feels unneeded and a little forced... It was cool to see her when she first revealed herself, but now I feel like she's worn out her welcome.

Actually, I feel like this whole Magic Games story arc is written quite sloppy. There's a lot of stuff that could have been executed better, or just seemed rather pointless and disappointing. Like the Natsu and Gajeel vs Sting and Rouge battle, and the Laxus vs Raven Tail battle. And don't get me started on Erza...

Every shounen battle manga has a tournament eventually. It's a hamfisted excuse to amp up the action. You shouldn't expect Shakespeare.

Haha, Yeah, as Spazmonkey said, It's like an unwritten rule to have a tournament of sorts in battle manga. Plus, they can introduce plenty of characters at once too. Dragonball had like 7 in their entire series run (including the anime filler ones too).

I'm reading Bleach out of compromise too, also it's kinda interesting to see something that was once so revered as great spiraling down in flames.

I'm liking One Piece a lot lately, it's finally fight scenes again and they're fockin ossum.

I dig the Kaiju feel the current Naruto chapter has, you don't see that that often in shounen. And I had to laugh at the last page.

As for Bleach... What is it with Kubo Tite and introducing a whole batch of eccentric, but oddly uninteresting characters at once? I'm a bit interested in the Spirit Castle thing, though. It was mentioned all the way back when Aizen was outed as a villain, but never explored.

And yeah i agree, fuckin' Law. I like One Piece a lot, i just don't like how lots of sagas are always races against time for something. The enies lobby or whatever was a race against time for saving robin, the impel down saga for saving ace, the mermaid island saga was also a race against the island being crushed, and now a race against being swallowed by the poison gas. idk.

I'm also liking Naruto, i wonder if so many people gathered together won't be just a bigger target for the black beam of the juubi.

On Naruto, even with all this, there's still Sasuke bopping about, so this still isn't even the final battle. Given how adamant Sasuke has been on being evil and what he's done, it'd be a cop out if he just is convinced by Naruto to be good again, he needs to die. Naruto dying in the fight would be good too, but this series wouldn't do that.

Why would it be good? He should be hokage and have Hinata as his wife because srsly she spent so many chapters trying to confess, give the gal a bone(r).
