Buzz Comix 'Owned'

Postby Nix » Wed Jan 22, 2003 7:13 pm

I took a screenshot in case it goes down later, but it looks like Buzzcomix.Net needs to work on their security a little more.

I'm willing to bet they got in through a hole in the BB system like at TWC.

I'm starting to believe the reports that these things are heinously insecure...

Yeah I saw that to. Honestly what the hell is wrong with these hackers fucking up other people's stuff. Is this fun for them?

I feel bad for Andrew (the REAL person behind Buzz comix.) I mean crap just keeps happening to his website child. I guess I only use Buzz Comix to host my psuedo-game reviews.

But yeah pour Andrew. And yeah Nix I've heard since way back in the day forums are a giant HACK ME sign. It's only a matter of time before something happens to these forums. By the way Comrade I don't know what info you've modified or even how you modified it but I would keep a copy of it on your computer incase you ever have to redo it. Just a good idea.

Just be sure that if something ever DOES happen, you DEMAND your webhost trace the IP address of the attacker back to its originating ISP, and press charges.

I am so fucking sick of people getting hacked, not doing anything about it, and then complaining.

If you're not going to fight back, then shut the FUCK up.

umm Smaug you drive big fast strong TRUCKS if you have a small penis not cars. the very idea of a big strong car makes me shudder. I mean what would a large strong car look like? A Geo on steroids or a Jetta on Creitin? On a side note my roomate has a huge Dodge diesel truck and I 'll be damned if he doesn't have the largest package ever... I mean umm yeah he's hella cool so back off.

Nix I think I'd be all pissy if Snafu actually got hacked but the forums I'd probably let you guys handle since you actually know what your doing.

I just saw this "Ownezed" and thats why a came here (been asleep all day), but i guess you guys already know.

Anyway, if I had hacker ability, I MIGHT hack a site, and NOT do shit to it, but just say "hey man, i hacked your site, you should fix it before some asshole besides me hacks it". Id NEVER mess with it, just let the owener person know I can do it, so it can be fixed.

I would argue its people who drive little cars like Civics and Metros that have small penises.

As soon as I can afford one, I'm getting the Camaro I have always wanted and that thing is fucking sweet. 450HP in a CAR, thats double what most SUVs have.

*sigh* lazyness.. reposting..

"Looks like the front page got hacked.. and they left their contact info?
That's like robbing a bank and dropping your wallet on the way out.

Anyway, I just don't see a point behind it. Aren't there places who deserve to be hacked? : /
Where's the sense in attacking a comic site.. feh. Just childish."

I'd pay a dollar to see some more deserving sites hacked.

I'd pay a pretty penny. That right, a PRETTY one, not on of those crappy ones with all the black stuff on it that you don't dare touch, and the scratchs. The pretty ones, where your all like "man, this is a pretty penny, I almost don't want to get rid of it, and hang it on my wall, so everyone can see that this is a really great penny"

I've never heard of NameZero, Register.com, RIAA Home Page, MPAA Home Page. I also won't go see what they're about, for obvious reasons... But KKK HP, thats REALLY gay, grow up you people there. So I defenatly agree there. SA, its a horrible site, but still I wouldn't normally want it hacked (everyone is intitled to their opinion), but they've gone over the line I fell, with all the hacking they, or they're followers have done, so I'd aslo agree there. As for CNN, why is that???

CNN sucks...they're boring and generally misguided. Plus they just plain suck and are generally one sided. I like Bill O'Reilly...he hates you if your Republican, Democrat, or whatever. He just hates everybody and thats how the news SHOULD be.

Thats what everyone says. When his radio show ocmes on its like half "Bill O Reilly? Damn...I wanna F**king kill that dude!" or "Bill O' Reilly? Jesus I wanna have his baby". He's definitely a person that you love or you hate...there is no inbetween once you've listened to him.

I really miss Ken Hamlin though. Only racist black man I've ever heard. Best News Radio show EVER.

"So you're with the NAACP? I have to tell you...I really don't like them"
"Well Ken maybe thats cause you're a white racist sunovabitch"
"....Sir...I am black. Thank you and good day"

Ah teehee.

Reminds me of David Chapelles show this week. He played this blind black man who was a member of the KKK. He was the only black kid around so they all told him he was white. Shit like that, pretty funny

yeah I saw that and it reminded me of Ken Hamlin....cept Ken Hamlin wasn't blind and he wasn't racist really. He just came off that way cause he hated how a majority of his fellow black people were hung up on racism, and some of the stereo types they adapted and lived by. Honestly and truthfully I'd love to meet the man. He's well educated, incredibly smart, and generally pretty humorous.

Oh and he got kicked off the air for a long time after it was reported that he had used a racial slur on the radio. It was pretty surprising. When he came back on...he read a report of the situation and when asked over 90% of the callers had no idea of his race.

I've never heard of NameZero

They offer to register a domain name for you, free of charge. Then when it expires they offer to let you BUY it from them for double the standard price. If you decide not to, and instead to buy it from someone else, Namezero basically takes it hostage and refuses to give it up. You can either pay a ridiculous $125 transfer fee (thats what they wanted from me 2 years ago, anyway) or you can give up.

Register.com

These guys will register you a domain name for $40, then forget to tell you that if you don't host your website with them, that they put a huge adbanner on your site that takes up roughly 15% of the screen.

RIAA Home Page

The organization that represents, 'poor', 'starving' music companies in their epic battle against the evil of music piracy. So far they've been found guilty of inflating CD prices since the 80's, forging fraudulent income reports and hacking into P2P networks illegally.

MPAA Home Page

These guys are the same as the RIAA only they deal with movies.

As for CNN, why is that?

CNN uses its position as the largest news network in the world to promote the ideas of its parent company AOL/TIME Warner. They also routinely incite acts of violence against people of different races by printing inflammatory stories designed to create panic (and therefore increase viewership) like "Islam: Nation of Terror" or "Black Judge Frees Convicted Rapist".
