Yeah...buts its a good thing I did so cause then he put in the changes he needed to prevent people from cheating. Of course then Pupkin made it to the top ten so all my work was in vain...

A shell? O...k. I wanna add some heat transfer pads or some other form of bad ass cooling system to my computer. Not that I'd ever overclock it or anything.

I don't know what a shell is, but it's not a physical shell around his computer, its some kind of programming or something.

He probably means the shell for Unix or Linux. It's sort of like DOS.

Thats EXACTLY what I was complaining about before, and he told me "I have to see to the needs of the many".

I have tons of friends who live around me and none of them can vote because we're all on Rogers Cable.

It certainly sounds that way. I thought you were a big guy, Smaug, just smack them around until they vote.

150lbs at 5'7" is pretty damned big, Smaug. I think the average weight for a 5'9" male at age 21 is like 135lbs.

Since I originally started this thread to record my progress on TWC, I'm gonna add an update.

47th PLACE!

Holy shit, when Scythe and I started this comic I totally expected months and months and MONTHS of obscurity, yet here we are at 48th place and still climbing. Granted the first 3 weeks we basically got nothing, and finished at 96th place, but this month has been amazing for DP.

In the last 6 days alone DP has gotten more votes than in almost all the other days combined for both months, it just blows me away. I estimate that DP will finish this month in the 20-30 range, which is a lot better than I had hoped for.

With all the garbage I have to put up with in my life right now, I can honestly say that this is one of the few things that can still cheer me up.

w00t to small successes, and good luck to the rest of you.

People are getting more and more fucked up...

These things USED to be simple... on days of comic you get more votes. Now it seems on days when I release the comic I get less votes. I don't get it.. what's with my fans as of late... they've all be very quiet and not voting. Have I cross a line within the last few comics or something?

My forums have been deathly quite recently... It's un-nerving... There wasn't even a discussion of my latest issue!! It was like 1 comment, then total silence...

Wildcard, I totally remember when you did that. That was way back in the very infancy of the TWC. Back when there were about 10 forums and everyone knew each other ; )
Ah, good times.

Maybe they all came my way, Halo, because I can't for the life of me figure out what caused the voting surge.

One day we were getting like 5 or 10 votes a day, then BOOM. Now I get huge votes even if I haven't updated in like 3 days.

The stats page isn't showing anything unusual though (like a link from some huge site like MC or something) just that traffic has more than doubled.
