It's been awhile since I've tried something really new with the comic so I thought I would try something really OLD for nearly every other comic out there and going with a lineless style. But I think I did it WAY differently than anyone else does it. At least I hope I did. I didn't really figure out what I was doing until the very end of making this comic. I really liked going lineless actually. I may do a few more in this style. But ultimately. It's not going to stick.
DAMN it feels good doing a Snafu comic proper style. Expect a new Tin this week as well. I miss it so much it hurts.
I've been uber busy this week getting the guest comic and guest art up and all. Plus I helped my friend get ready for his CD Release show last Saturday. I had to print a bunch of shirts. Get pins made, etc. I worked the door for 80% of the show and it was a HUGE success. Seriously pretty cool show all around. But truthfully I'm releaved that it's over with for awhile. I need to get to work on my own projects.
Oh and Death Note is a super sweet anime and you should all be watching it I say.
K some people have already e-mailed me asking what I really think about Window's Vista. Honestly I absolutely hate it. They stole a LOT of idea's from OS X but they forgot to steal the fact that OS X WORKS. Seriously Vista has so many bugs and problems and annoyances right now it's just disgusting. iTunes even has problems and that's like required for life anymore. But yeah I don't doubt in like 6 months the problems will be worked out but until then seriously keep XP.
This is a guest comic I did for my friend Steve over at Outer Circle It's their two year aniversary and he wanted me to participate. So yeah I tried.
Anyhoo this is one of two guest comics I promised to do this week. The 2nd should come in a few days. For another webcomic friend that I promised a comic to and it's finally time to pay up. Expect that shortly.
Sorry bout not getting the comic up on time. I was helping a friend paint his house all day yesterday and when I got home I immediately fell asleep and didn't wake up till 1 PM today getting a total of 13 hours of sleep which hopefully shows how spent I was last night. And I'll be painting today to. But I'll get a comic up tomorrow for sure. A Guest comic for a friend that has to be done tomorrow so I know I'll do it.
K so it's been two days with the black hair and nails and I've already been treated shitty because of it. So I still have the nail polish and hair because I went directly from the concert to my parents house, slept, then went directly to Cedar City to do my taxes. Then from Cedar City back to Salt Lake City I got pulled over and the cop was a DOUCHE. Now granted I earned my ticket. But I'm 100% positive I wouldn't have earned if it I looked like I normally do. Especially when the copy starts the conversation with a comment about my nails. $107 dollar ticket later I've decided he's a CUNT.
But that was all ok because I found out the best news EVER when I was in Cedar City. I used to work at a Game Crazy in Cedar City around... wow 4 years ago now. Anyhow I got fired because the manager said I stole a game (which I didn't). Well when I got back there I decided to pop in Game Crazy and see whatever happened to that guy. Well he got fired himself becaues he got caught stealing TONS of games and strategy guides that he put in his trunk and sold himself on the side.
I felt awesome hearing that story. really awesome.
Oh and random side note Reno 911 In Miami isn't as good as the series. Kind of a pity really.
In other news Taste of Chaos was the greatest concert I've EVER been to. Which is pretty amazing because I more or less "ho-hummed" my way through most of the bands in it. They were all "good" don't get me wrong but it became blindingly apparent that only one band was "great" that being of course The Used. This was also the first time I've ever had a backstage pass at a concert. Honestly the backstage thing is a bit over rated. It comes down to you can meet the band members randomly but it's still tricky because everyone back stage wants their attention. And beyond that there are just some rooms you can chill in and have chips and salsa if you'd like. Or candy... Or an unlimited supply of RockStar Energy Drinks... or a chocolate fountain you can dip various treats and fruits in. But yeah even watching bands from the side of the stage or back stage is kind wonky. It's WAY better out in front on the floor and when The Used came on that's where I went. I actually worked my way to the front fairly easily through sheer luck and much bigger people than myself pushing me forward. The show itself was fucking EPIC. I haven't been this pumped for anything in years. Seriously best live performance I've ever ever ever seen. I definaely want to see them play live again asap. I think I'll hit up their Vegas show if I can pull it off. But seriously HIGHLY recommended to see The Used play live before you die. You will not regret the sheer amount of rock that will smack you in the face and never stop.
Oh and I decided to dress up for the ocassion. I look emo (actually more goth) as fuck.
From here on out I shall be refered to as Davey Darko.
