Not sure if I've mentioned this movie yet but if not it's REALLY cool. Definately check it out if you have a chance. The style is awesome and the plot is really fun to watch. It's basically a movie centered around drug addiction with the pretty of a cartoon. I loved it.
Snafu will be at Otakon in Baltimore Maryland August 4th through 6th. Come see us! I'll be with Nixon Karcel from Digital Purgatory, and Wayne Lozen from This Comic Sucks. Should be a lot of fun! I can't wait to meet people on the east coast for once.
In case you didn't see X-men 3, the bald guy is Leech and his power is to nullify other mutant's powers when they're around him. and incase you haven't seen any of the X-men movies Rouge's powers are more or less that she absorbs other mutant's powers and it nearly kills them every time she touches someone. Bobby/Ice Man is her boyfriend. And yeah that should pretty well cover anything that needs explaining.
Oh and this is Monday's comic a lil bit early. So don't expect another one in two days. I know this comic doesn't look like much but I tried so so so many new things with coloring and shading that took for fucking ever and didn't look good at all. So this comic took me aound twice as long as normal and that makes me mad. But at least I was trying new things again. I should probably try new things from tutorials rather than just random experimentation. But that makes TOO much sense.
Well I spent today shipping out orders for the Store kinda sucks getting behind a little bit from being gone for so long to L.A. But oh well. almost caught up now. I say almost because we actually had so many orders I ran out of stock of a few shirts and a few shirt sizes. So 14 orders will have to wait until Monday to be shipped. Sorry bout that guys. Anyhow the other thing that's stopped a comic from coming out today is that I recently switched to a Mac computer and I didn't have a scanner for the Mac until today. BUT, I bought the demo floor model of the scanner because that's all they had left. It saved me 40 bucks which is awesome. But what isn't awesome is they didn't put the power cord in the box. I have to go back tomorrow and complain. Tis bullshit I say.
Anyhow yeah I'm going to try and get a the cord tomorrow and I'll update a Snafu and a Tin as soon as possible. I also need to get some blank T-shirts asap and make the rest of the shirts for the orders. Well talk to yous later.
Well I'm still trapped in L.A. and my life sucks. BUT my friend Jepha from The Used and Alex Pardee went to the Transformer's movie set and saw all the transformer's and decepticons and yeah it's insane. They told me all about it and I can't really say anything but holy hell. HOLY HELL. The Transformer's are REAL it's not CG. They really tranform. And wow. just WOW. AAAAND they have pictures... that we can't show. But yeah library scene, a "dam" scene. Yeah and other stuff. So when you actually see the movie you'll know I knew at least that much. oh and the cars are (can't say.) but wow.
I also have to mention than goodness that G-O lives in L.A. Seriously without him I'm pretty sure I would have freaked out and probably died by now. He came and picked me up after my car broke down and took me back to The Used apartment. Very very VERY nice of him. Seriously wow.
OK so my life just got kicked in the face. I managed to ram my car into a poll, then had my car break down. I'm now stranded in California and I can't get my car even looked at until Monday. I'm quite stranded and can't make comics, can't do anything. This is just a few of the things that have gone completely wrong in the past oh three days straight. But I must say spending twelve hours today just tyring to leave L.A. to go back home ranks pretty high on my shitty day list. And now I'm back and I don't even want to know how much repairs are going to cost just so I can get myself back home. My life sucks.
On the up side I saw a downsyndrome super man fight a Sith lord at Comic-con. That was amazing.
Well life has been pretty cool lately. Sac Anime was way fun. It was only a day long thing though so it wasn't a huge time consumer. After Sac Anime I went down to LA to hang out with my friends Jepha and Quinn from The Used and CW from the awesome. The Used are here writing their third CD and holy hell I have to say their new songs are fucktasticly awesome. Seriously WOW. I can't believe how amazingly talented they are. They've been doing a lot of the writing at John Feldmen's house which has this RAD baby Seal painting in it that is beyond amazing. I love that thing. Oh and I've been hanging out with porn stars from God's Girls. Pretend you didn't read that mom.
Tonight I should be hanging out with Giovanny from Training Wheels. I'm pretty stoked about that. I'm actually waiting for him to come over right now which is why I have time to write this post in the first place.
Let's see other rad things that have happened this week... dun dun dun. Ok this is freaking sweet. Jepha CW and I were driving on Melrose and there was a freaking geyser shooting around 8 stories high into the air. Apparently a car rammed through a fire hydrant and through a wall of a store. It was insane. We parked and took pictures with our cell phones. I could not believe how high up the water was shooting. It took three firemen in the center of it to screw down some thing that stopped the water flow. I couldn't believe how much water came out of it. What on earth pressureizes hydrants that much constantly? It doesn't make any sense to me. magic to say the least.
Oh and I found these Pac Man pillows in some Japanese designer shop in LA. I bought one each and I'm going to give them to Gabe and Tycho of Penny-Arcade at Comic-con tomorrow. I think I should be able to get a table at that now. "think" so yeah if you're going to comic-con you may be able to find my after all. "may".
That's about all I have for now. We'll see how the rest of the week plays out.
k quick update since I momentarily have introweb access. Anyhow for the store the prints are all 11"x17" boarderless, glossy prints. I should have mentioned that on all of them and I'll fix that when I get back.
Also if you need any size of shirt that isn't on there just tell me and I can make it for you, it's not a problem. I'll be sure and add that detail to the site as well when I get back. I also need to add more products we have and what not.
well it's 2 PM my time and I'm just now getting out the door to drive to Sacramento. I've got 13 hours of driving ahead of me... My life is not one to be envied.

Now if you're in San Diego for Comic-con I wish I could say "come visit" but sadly I didn't get a table because I'm stupid. What's worse is I didn't get a hotel either. I messed this con up big time. Anyhoo if anyone lives in the San Diego area I would be super appreciative of letting me crash on your couch. I'll also have tons of shirts and merch left over from Sac Anime since I'm taking a ton. Sooooo if you recognize me say hi... which the only way possible would be to see my pictures on my MySpace page. Although I promise I won't look like the Black Batman, The Demon halloween costume, the Elf costume, the purple hair, or bald... Damn I don't seem to have a single decent picture on there. I think I'm completely missing the point of MySpace. Anyhow whatever that's my face and I'll most likely be wearing a shirt from Shark Robot.
Which brings me to my last item of business. The store will start shippingon the 24th-28th. Expect your order's to start arriving at the end of this month.
The sun is coming up and I haven't gotten to sleep yet. I'm going to konk out for awhile. Then I'll work on the store a bit more adding more products and the like. But it's functional now and it's good enough. Sorry it took so long.
I know today's comic is a total injustice to humanity but I didn't have time to do it better due to several reasons. The main one is me preparing for two conventions right in a row Sac Anime and Comic-Con. Even though I won't have a table at comic-con I'll just be attending. But I'm still working on the online store and that ate up a good chunk of today. Then I also switched to Mac as of last Friday and I'm still transfering stuff over. Files, programs, hardware all have to be setup still and I didn't have my wacom working, or scanner, or any of my fonts or much of anything while making this comic so yeah you got a short quickie. So do forgive me. And if I don't get the store shipping working right today I'll just charge a flat rate on shipping and release the damned thing. It's taken FAR too much of my time at this point.
