This is fairly accurate of what happenes every Wednesday when we have a critque in my 3D modeling class. Everyone get up and shows off their latest 3D model and they're all about the same level since it is a begining class. Then the Asian dude who is also "rocking the mullet" get's up and shows something that is jaw droppingly amazing. This was awed at the first time but now he's just showing off in a beginer's class when he's CLEARLY not a beginer. I believe last time during the critque the question was asked "Do you go outside?" He didn't answer but I think it's safe to bet it was a resounding NO.
Explanation aside I like the idea behind this style. It was a first time and I'm going to go with this one for a bit see if I can't clean it up some. And I finally decided to ditch the original U shapped Snafu eyes. I'm sure they won't be gone forever but I held a debate with myself and it occured to me if I want to try other styles so bad why don't I try other styles of eyes as well? my debate for keeping them was it was the one thing I hadn't changed and it was unique enough that it was my style, iconic if you will. But the argument to change the eyes was most convincing, I want to try something new.
And no these aren't the "new clothes" for Travis and Dave I'll be changing that around quite a bit as well. I think the hat and googles are staying but we'll see what happens to the rest of their wardrobe. although I did so love Travis' T-shirt.
And in case any of you were wondering Halo's WTF 1000 hit friday was a smashing hit (pun not intended but now I'm going to claim it.) He was around the 1,700 unique visitors list. So yeah thanks guys for helping out. Maybe I can talk Halo into tweaking with a few php options for me...
I was trying out new style/ideas for the comic and I made a new Spider-Man Wallpaper in the Art Section that you should all go check out.
oh and I've been watching Naruto (it's an anime) and it owns my world. I seriously wanted to cry when the bad guys died. THE BAD GUYS. and by "seriously wanted to" I mean "did". But honestly it's so amazingly well written/neat everyone should check it out.
I just want to tell everyone thank you for all the support you've shown Snafu. Getting into that "biggest comic" watch list thing was really cool for me. I really needed that since I've all but lost confidence completely in every aspect of life at the moment. And as a warning these weird updates are going to get a lot worse before it gets better. I need something new for the comic. I honestly considered scraping Snafu current comics completely and starting over, that's not something I want to do. But right now I need some time to think about the comic ingeneral and maybe turn it in a different direction. Who knows I'll imagine I'll turn it in a lot of directions and never stick with one like I've been doing. Damn my whimsical attention span.
Also in school I'm suddenly having around 5 different programs thrown at me all at once and I feel I haven't had time to really practice and understand any of them. So a lot of "updates" for awhile may just be my failed attempts at 3D or a bad Flash animation etc. And I hope you will see them as the first tries they are. I plan to get a lot better at them and I feel like I practice fairly hard at it. I'll figure them out someday.
But enough about Snafu I'd like to end the rant with an anouncement, Halo wants today (Friday) to be a big day for his new comic WTF and if he get's X amount of visits (1000 I believe) he'll update WTF everyday this week. Now that's great for everyone. So if you could go give his site a look. It would make him happy and the extra updates makes everyone happy.
I've been watching Flash Movies like crazy and then I happened apon some online comics (like the story kind) that I've never heard of before but shit do they have nice art to them. But they weren't interesting or funny but the ART... crap... It's more than made me a lil jealous/intimidated. So yeah I'm not doing a comic today and until I can brain storm something different, something better, I dunno what I want to do anymore. So I'm going to play with Flash for awhile.
Well the tourny is over. The final final match between Snafu and VG Cats never happened as far as I could tell due to a Gunbound "version check" error. Which is sad but oh well ther are still champions of Snafu and Champions of VG Cats. And if the ones who won would send me their picture like I asked I'd be most appreciative.
Then I updated the Featured Comic button since the tourny is over. The new Comic is E-diots.net It's well drawn and uber funny. go give em a look.
